YTES

Modeling and Simulation of Turkey's 400-154 kV Electricity Grid with SCADA Screens

The aim of our project is to prepare the Load Dispatch Operators working in the Load Dispatch Operation Directorates for their duties, ensure their development, increase their efficiency and accelerate the adaptation process of the new operators. Thanks to our dynamic training program, which is compatible with the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) Policy-8 Operation Training Procedure, all maneuvers that can be performed on the network are simulated and the reactions of the network to these maneuvers can be observed.

YTES software includes the electricity transmission lines, electricity generation facilities and all transformer centers belonging to TEİAŞ on the electricity transmission network model in Türkiye. It offers the Load Dispatch Operator candidates the opportunity to monitor the electricity transmission network, run real-time dynamic simulations, observe the barco screens of the Load Dispatch Directorates, display and intervene in the network model as a single-line diagram, monitor alarm functions, animate load distribution maneuvers, record transactions within the scope of the criteria to be determined, manage user accounts, report simulation evaluation results, give load-up (YAL) and load-down (YAT) instructions and perform automatic generation control (AGC).

We held our first training at the ELTEMTEK headquarters this month with the participation of TEİAŞ R&D Directorate and Load Dispatch Directorate. When the project is completed; YTES will be put into operation in the training hall specially prepared for this software at TEİAŞ Ankara Gölbaşı campus and the conditions of load dispatch centers will be simulated in this training hall.

We continue to develop the YTES project and aim to make significant contributions to Turkey's energy future by increasing the work performance and system reliability of our operators in this process.
